Scary Black, Broken Nails, Vyva Melinkolya Kaiju $8  |  8 p.m. If shoegaze and goth are your things, this show is for you. Scary Black plays swirling and intense, dark and driving post-punk that dives in ominous soundscapes, resulting in something aptly self-described as “nightmare pop.” Mostly composed from analogue synthesizers and drum machines, Broken Nails' music is upbeat, yet subtly sinister, as well as striking and original. Vyva Melinkolya plays dynamic, carefully-layered, ambient shoegaze that is incredibly magnetic.

Stonecutters Headliners Music Hall $10  |  8 p.m.   Falling somewhere in-between sturdy death metal and chaotic thrash, Stonecutters bring the sort of energy that the genre demands. (ohm) and Batwizard open.

Saturday, April 23

Guerrilla Warfare, Belushi Speedball, Freeze MK Portal at FifteenTwelve $15-$20  |  7 p.m. This is the album release show for the hardcore band Guerrilla Warfare’s newest album, Control. They will play that album and their 2019 album, Consume, both in their entirety. Belushi Speedball and Freeze MK are also on the bill.
