Louisville shoppers looking for something a little more interesting than another gift card will have plenty to choose from when WinterFair returns in December.
The annual fine art and craft show is back for its 36th year on Friday, Dec. 4, and Saturday, Dec. 5, at All Peoples Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 4936 Brownsboro Road. More than 70 juried regional artists will take part, selling handmade jewelry, pottery, textiles, wearable art, glasswork, paintings, and other original pieces.
WinterFair runs from 1-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Admission and parking are free, and a continuous shuttle will run Saturday from a nearby overflow parking lot to the venue. EV charging will also be available on site.
Shoppers can also take a break at the WinterFair Cafe, which will serve soups, chili, vegetarian dishes, and homemade desserts.
This year’s artist raffle will benefit Kentucky Refugee Ministries’ Children’s Summer Art Program, with 100% of the proceeds going toward the program. The summer program provides daily art education for 55 refugee and immigrant students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Those who want to scout out potential gifts ahead of time can preview participating artists and their work on WinterFair’s Facebook page.
