Excellent point about the directors being raised with pop culture and being proud to show it. They truly have created a film that summarizes the exploitation/grindhouse era that can be referred to for many years to come. If this was left up to two directors, I'm glad it was Rodriguez and Tarantino. They've done a fine job with this cinema "show and tell" of industry knowledge they've accumulated over the years as directors and media consumers.
