To learn about the event, visit www.hullabaloufest.com. The HullabaLOU Musical Festival features 65 bands on five stages with a wide range of artists through Churchill Downs sprawling 147-acre facility. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at www.hullabaloufest.com or www.ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster outlets, including select Kroger locations, or by calling (800)745-3000.
- Bands and Solo Artists are welcome to enter. Original music only.
- Contestants cannot be signed to a major label or publishing deal. This competition is meant for emerging and independent performing songwriters only.
- Entries must be postmarked or submitted by Wednesday, April 28, 2010 to be eligible.
- No submissions will be reviewed after the deadline. No last minute entries or substitutes allowed.
- Band must be able to play on Sunday, July 25, 2010.
- Demo material submitted will become the property of the contest and will not be returned.
- The top 10 bands will be nominated by an independent panel of judges and announced on May 19, 2010. All judges' decisions are final.
- Notification will take place May 17, 2010.
- LEO Weekly readers will vote for their favorite band and the top 2 bands will play at Hullabalou on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Mail-in and online ballots will be available in LEO Weekly and on www.leoweekly.com starting May 19, 2010.
- A performance at Hullabalou Music Festival on Sunday, July 25,2010.
- $1000 Cash.
- (20) Twenty general admission tickets to the festival.
